Summer Tone Boho Barn- Real Wedding

S&S celebrated a beautiful day at The Granary Estates last summer, with a bespoke tapas sharing menu and intricate décor and details handmade by the bride.

Meet the couple

Having met in their third year of university and spending every day together since, our bride and groom were keen to plan a day full of meaningful touches, with a relaxed boho aesthetic. Asking why they chose Hall and Co to cater their wedding S&S had the following to say- We loved that we had the freedom to design our menu however we wanted! We really wanted a relaxed, feasting style wedding breakfast with lots of sharing platters of delicious food, and Hall & Co absolutely exceeded our expectations!”

Choosing The Granary Estates, Newmarket as their venue for the ceremony and reception, our couple made the most of the late summer sun aesthetic which paired beautifully with their sunset-toned styling and tableware. Opting for a main barn wedding ceremony, the space was decorated with a rustic wooden arch and bold floral bursts of oranges and pinks.

Returning to the barn for the bespoke designed wedding breakfast, guests were welcomed to a banquet-style set up with each styling and tableware detail carefully curated but the couple. We love working so closely with our clients to select the perfect tableware to co-ordinate with their vision and enhancing the presentation of their chosen meal courses. S&S started their table design by focusing on the deep summer sunset tones of their florals and selected a dusky raspberry napkin to coordinate, before selecting modern yet rustic sand-toned crockery alongside. The overall styling choices came together to create a sophisticated yet light and fun tablescape. Table numbers and signage were painstakingly crafted by the bride herself, spending over 100 hours hand embroidering the designs into hoops.

Bespoke Small plates wedding breakfast

Our chefs love creating personalised menus that reflect our couples and bring in their favourite trips and memories together into the day. For this celebration the chefs were tasked with creating a feast of tapas-inspired small plate starter course, followed by a relaxed sharing main featuring sharing boards and seasonal sides. Dishes served included Whipped goat's cheese stuffed piquant peppers, charred grilled sirloin steak with salsa Verdi and crispy capers, summer vegetable slaw with toasted seeds, soft herbs and creme fraiche dressing.

Unforgettable styling details

The day full of intricate and personalised details also included a homemade slow gin toast created by the father of the bride, and a selection of the groom's favourite whiskey bottles as decanters to further weave memorable and sentimental touches into their day.

Testimonial

“We chose Hall & Co for our wedding food and styling and we were very happy with our decision! From the get go they understood our vision and helped us create a menu we loved! As I have coeliac disease, it was really important to have 100% gluten free wedding and they were fully onboard, helping suggest GF alternatives and reassuring us throughout, which was a big relief! We loved our tasting session, it felt like a really cosy date and everything tasted delicious. Charlotte was professional throughout and really made us feel relaxed about the day.”
