A Riot of Colour for A & J’s Festival Inspired 2 Day Wedding

During August last year, A & J wed at the beautiful Willow Grange Farm. Opting for catering, coordination, and floristry by our team, and prop hire from Stories Event Hire, the couple made the most of our multiple services, ensuring the day ran smoothly and no detail was missed.

The couple embraced the rustic charm of the venue and opted for a fun colourful look, inspired by their mutual love of festivals. Think oversized disco balls, smoke bomb bridal party shots, and an abundance of colours. We created bold, bright florals and added pops of colour with our props. In true festival style, guests stayed overnight in the onsite accommodation and the couple elongated the celebrations over two fun filled days.

After getting ready in the safari lodges on the farm, the ceremony took place outdoors under the venues pagoda. Guests were seated on hay bales and Alice wore an incredible long sleeve dress by Rue De Seine Bridal at White Reflections Bridal. Our in house florist Millie created a colourful bridal bouquet, filled with pretty seasonal blooms, which included roses, dahlia, scabiosa, delphinum. These florals were perfectly paired with seasonal foliage and dried grasses. The bouquet was finished with colourful trailing ribbon to suit the relaxed, boho vibe. We also created a bespoke flower crown for the bride, using complimentary florals and colours to the bouquet and to match the festival feel.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed drinks and canapes on the lawn, and the couple had photos with their two French Bulldogs, all captured by Lee Allison.

Inside the marquee, the long farmhouse tables were lined with bottle and bud vase arrangements and tall colourful taper candles in glass holders, supplied by Stories Event Hire. We helped the couple choose their tableware, which included washed copper cutlery and colourful glassware all sourced from CMA Hire.

Our talented bride made her own cake, which was an impressive 5 tier creation, styled with colourful pressed flowers on the outside and mini disco balls.

After an epic bridal party entrance, speeches followed. They were accompanied by shots instead of a traditional glass of fizz. The couple choose a relaxed BBQ-inspired sharing menu, which perfectly suited their informal, relaxed day.

Guests celebrated late into the evening, with live music and late-night snacks of tacos served by our team.

Alongside our catering, floristry and prop hire services, we also helped the couple by coordinating their day. While A and J wanted a relaxed affaire, they still wanted to ensure that suppliers were greeted and there was someone onsite to help answer questions and assist with any issues that might arise on the day. Our on-the-day coordination is perfect for this and is often popular with couples getting married at a blank canvas venue.

The following day, the team returned for the second day of celebrations. The couple wanted to make the most of the extended venue hire. So after a night at the onsite accommodation, which includes bell tents, safari lodges and shepherds huts, guests enjoyed an elongated brunch served in the Sperry tent. We restyled the tables and repurposed florals and props to ensure the space looked beautiful. Alongside brunch, there was also a performance by the singing waiters. It was the perfect entertainment and kept the party going throughout the following day.
