Pantone Colour of 2018, Ultra Violet Styled Shoot

January began with an Ultra Violet bang as the end of 2017 Pantone announced its colour of the year for 2018, which was received with mixed opinions. At first all at Hall and Co HQ were a little underwhelmed by ‘Ultra Violet’ after falling in love with last year’s announcement of ‘Greenery’. We were invited by Joanna at Woburn Bridal to join her and industry experts at Chicheley Hall to style this Ultra Violet wedding inspiration shoot. Once we started to look for inspiration this shoot became exciting and with Joanna’s vision we could not wait to highlight to the industry and couples this colour palette in a modern, stylish way that is desirable and not a colour that is dated and unfashionable.

Photographed by Sarah Brookes Photography the images are stunning on what turned out to be a damp, grey January shoot. Chicheley Hall was the ideal location with its large marble fireplaces and pillars, dark wooden staircase and beautiful grounds for the shoot which are all showcased in the images. With every shoot we hope to share the hard work of all suppliers involved by submitting our shoot to blogs and we were thrilled to find out Love My Dress were featuring the blog last week! Now the images have been blogged we can then share the images... so enjoy!

Hall and Co styled the dramatic naked table, marble fireplace and brought ultra violet tones with a cosmic touch to reflect Pantone's Colour Of The Year. Kerry says “The vision was moody and fashionable with a cosmic edge so I naturally opted for deep purples, blacks and golds. Tall elegant candles created drama, gold charger plates and cutlery brought a luxurious wedding feel alongside skulls and crystals. This was the perfect mix of Ultra Violet goodness”. The stationary from White Cottage Weddings was the finishing touch and alongside the beautiful displays by Florae Foray were show stopping as Becky's arrangements filled the fireplace. The moongate creation was simply perfection and a creation we know we will see much more of at weddings. The oversized bouquet against the beautiful dresses and our perfectly purple chair ‘Monroe’ bring this years colour to centre stage and we think the images demonstrate how these bold colours through styling can create a beautiful wedding for any stylish bride to be.
